Elected to the Brea City Council in November 2022; served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2024 and was subsequently chosen by the Council to serve as Mayor.

As Mayor, worked with the City Council to adopt Brea’s Fiscal Year 2025–27 biennial budget.

Updated city ordinances to require defensible space for hillside residences, strengthening wildfire preparedness.

Helped adopt 2025 local code amendments tailored to Brea, covering permits and inspections, special-event safety plans, hazardous-fire-area closures, and other prevention measures.

Implemented an e-bike ordinance to improve safety for riders and pedestrians.

Enhanced emergency medical response by permanently staffing a paramedic at Brea Fire Station 4.

Provides regional leadership as First Vice President of the Orange County Division of the League of California Cities, with policy roles focused on governance, transparency, and labor relations; also serves on the Orange County Emergency Medical Care Committee and the National League of Cities Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.​
