The Brea Firefighters Association

The Brea Firefighters’ Association is the labor association representing Brea’s full-time firefighters, fire engineers, and fire captains. Its current agreement with the City of Brea

The Brea Police Association

The Brea Police Association represents Brea police officers while also supporting local outreach and charitable programs. Its community work includes scholarships, youth sports, Shop With a Cop, Adopt-A-Family, and support for fallen officers’ families

Assemblyman Phillip Chen

Assemblyman Phillip Chen is a Republican representing California’s 59th Assembly District. First elected in 2016, he brings experience as a business owner, educator, and former school board president to the Legislature. Chen has emphasized public safety, education, fiscal responsibility, and support for local families and businesses throughout his public service.

Fmr. U.S. Representative Michelle Steel 

Michelle Steel is a Republican former U.S. representative who served Orange County in Congress from 2021 to 2025. A business professional and longtime public official, she previously served on the California State Board of Equalization and the Orange County Board of Supervisors, including as its chair. She was among the first Korean American women elected to Congress and is now U.S. Ambassador to South Korea.

Mayor of Brea Cecilia Hupp

Cecilia Hupp is the Mayor of Brea and has served on the City Council since 2014. Her work has included support for housing and community development, senior affordable-housing opportunities, fiscal responsibility, infrastructure improvements, and regional efforts addressing homelessness.

Brea Mayor Pro Tem Marty Simonoff

Marty Simonoff is Brea’s Mayor Pro Tem and a longtime City Council member, first elected in 1996 and now serving his eighth term. A retired police captain, he brings a strong public-safety background to local government and has also served several terms as Brea’s mayor.

Christine Marick Brea City Council 

Christine Marick is a Brea City Council Member, first elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2016, 2020, and 2024. She previously served on Brea’s Planning Commission and has served as mayor in 2016, 2019, and 2024.

Ward Smith Placentia City Council

Ward Smith is Placentia’s District 5 councilmember and a longtime resident. He served 35 years with the Placentia Police Department, rising from patrol officer to chief of police before retiring in 2016, then was elected to the City Council that same year.

Emily Hibard Los Alamitos City Council

Emily Hibard is a Los Alamitos City Council member representing District 5. Elected in 2022, she has a background in manufacturing, media, music, and nonprofit service. Hibard holds degrees in political science and public administration and has authored books to help people start nonprofit organizations
